For nearly 20 years the Munich based restaurant and wine-bar Kleinschmidtz has been offering fine Mediterranean cuisine. We are aiming to surprise and indulge our guests each time they dine at our place. Our customers return frequently because they like the friendly ambience, the high service standards and because they value our casual style.

We do not represent overindulging extravagance, but rather the finest of simple things in life that never change. This means in our case: delicious food and excellent wines. Our team wants to convince customers with first class culinary quality and top service. Our chef Luis Delgado, a dyed-in-the-wool Parisian with Spanish roots, is quite aware but not overwhelmed by Zeitgeist. He loves to interpret traditional Mediterranean cuisine with a mind of his own and to create sensations for the taste buds with unusual combinations. We cook with daily fresh produce respecting the seasons and the offers of the local Munich markets.



Just aiming for a night-cap after work, the theatre or a movie? Please visit our wine-bar in the front part of the restaurant where we offer a broad range of nice ‘poured per glass’ wines from all around Europe. Of course our wine card varies from time to time. Alongside of established classics we love to introduce you to exiting newcomers, also poured per glass, so that you can taste what we like.

The Kleinschmidtz is situated near the ‘Gärtnerplatz’ theatre in the ‘Glockenbachviertel’ (Map), which recently has become one of the trendiest quarters of Munich. We started business in 1992 as a French style Bistro and – thanks to the growing demand and enthusiasm of our guests – have developed our restaurant into a dining experience with still growing ambitions.
